Staff Recommendation: Council adopts the resolution amending the City’s contribution for medical insurance with CalPERS in compliance with the Public Employees’ Medical and Hospital Care Act, and authorizes an amendment to the Salary Resolution to reflect the change in contribution.

2006-0418 – Thomas Sweeney [Applicant/Owner]: Application of related proposals on an 11,620 square foot site located at 495 Central Avenue (near East Olive Avenue) in an R-0 (Low-Density Residential) Zoning District.

·     General Plan Amendment from Residential Low-Density to Residential Low-Medium Density,

·     Rezone from R-0 (Low-Density Residential) to R-1.5/PD (Low-Medium Density Residential/Planned Development) Zoning District,

Issuance of SMaRT Station® Revenue Bonds to Supplement the Funding for the Replacement of Materials Recovery Equipment at the SMaRT Station®

 

 

Staff Recommendation: Council adopts the resolution approving:

·     The issuance and sale of Sunnyvale Financing Authority 2007 Solid Waste Revenue Bonds through the direct placement with a bank with a principal amount not to exceed $8,300,000, a maturity not to exceed 14 years, and an interest rate not to exceed 5.25%. 

·     The Installment Sale Agreement between the City of Sunnyvale and the Sunnyvale Financing Authority.

Staff Recommendation: Finance Authority approves Alternative 1 and adopts the resolution (A) authorizing staff to proceed with the issuance and sale of the 2007 Solid Waste Revenue Bonds through the direct placement with a bank with a maturity not to exceed 14 years and an interest rate not to exceed 5.25% and, (B) approves the documents required to complete the transaction as attached in substantially final form.
