Update on Paramedic Services

Following the Onizuka Local Redevelopment Agency Meeting

The City Council met in study session at City Hall in the West Conference Room, Sunnyvale, California on June 24, 2008, with Vice Mayor Melinda Hamilton presiding.

Call to Order: 9:47 PM

 

Study Session Summary:

An informational presentation was made to the City Council by Chief Don Johnson and Lieutenant Steve Drewniany.  The focus of the presentation was the current Santa Clara County EMS contract, potential changes to the new contract when it is put out to bid, and the potential impact to service levels in the City of Sunnyvale with a new contract.

 

At the conclusion of the presentation, Council asked question to clarify information that was presented.

 

City Manager Amy Chan advised Council that DPS would continue to monitor the situation and return to Council with additional information and potential alternatives for EMS Service within the City of Sunnyvale.
