The City Council of the City of Sunnyvale met in a Special Meeting in the City Hall - West Conference Room, 456 West Olive Avenue, Sunnyvale, California. Mayor Spitaleri called the meeting to order at 5:32 p.m. |

BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS INTERVIEWS AS SCHEDULED
Council conducted interviews for the following boards and commissions:
- Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission
- Board of Library Trustees
- Child Care Advisory Board
- Heritage Preservation Commission
- Housing and Human Services Commission
- Parks and Recreation Commission
- Personnel Board
- Planning Commission
PUBLIC COMMENTS
None.
DISCUSSION
City Clerk Gail Borkowski advised that pursuant to Council’s request on May 1, 2008, interviews for the three late applicants have been set for May 15, 2008 beginning at 5:30 p.m. and the applicants have been contacted.
Vice Mayor Hamilton stated she may have a conflict with May 15, 2008. Mayor Spitaleri requested that Vice Mayor Hamilton confirm her availability and if she is unable to attend the interviews, then the interviews will be cancelled, as only he and Councilmember Whittum would be available.
Councilmembers present agreed that applicants in the future would need to submit applications in conformance with any designated deadlines.
City Clerk Borkowski verified that applications received are kept on file for one year and will be brought to Council for consideration when openings occur in the future.

Vice Mayor Spitaleri adjourned the meeting at 8:30 p.m.
