WELCOME TO THE CITY OF SUNNYVALE'S
2009-2014 HOUSING AND COMMUNITY REVITALIZATION SUB-ELEMENT UPDATE

What is Sunnyvale's plan for housing?

The Draft 2009-2014 Housing and Community Revitalization Sub-element (3.0mb/.pdf) is now available for review online. A hard copy is also available for review at the Sunnyvale Library and One-Stop Permit Center at City Hall.

You can help shape Sunnyvale's housing framework to meet the existing and projected housing needs of all income groups and special needs populations.

State law, enacted in 1969, requires "fair share planning" by all local governments through adoption of a housing element as part of its general plan. Housing element updates are required to address the changing needs, resources and conditions of the community.

Sunnyvale's Housing Element is officially called the
Housing and Community Revitalization Sub-element.

Since 1980, the City of Sunnyvale has been a leader in addressing the preservation and enhancement of our community.
