Town Center Construction Photos

The Digging and excavating is complete for the parking structures. Now trenches are being prepared for rebar and cement base supports.

The sewer drains and manholes are in place where the future McKinley Avenue will be.

Ground level can be seen in the distance. The tiny construction workers help give a perspective on how massive the Town Center project is. Large plastic pipes run throughout for underground utilities installation.

Massive rebar supports can be seen. Workers spend hours every day manually weaving rebar to create the supports. The base of the rebar supports are trenches that will be filled with concrete.

All kinds of buckets are used to excavate dirt in the construction process. Debris and rubble are loaded into a large machine that grinds it up and sorts it into a large pile on the far side of the site.

Majestic Redwood trees loom over the construction site. These trees will be safe throughout the entire construction process. They are watered manually, there is plenty room for their roots, and they will be present for years to come.

The lift holds the column of rebar in place while workers manually fasten horizontal ties for stability. Water trucks spend all day spraying water all over the construction site in order to minimize the amount of dust.
