DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT - MALL PARKING STRUCTURE DEMOLITION
The Forum Development Group has completed 75% demolition of the Mall parking deck along Mathilda Ave. and has completed demolition of the buildings which once housed Chevy's Restaurant and Valley Credit Union.  A new temporary surface parking lot is being built in their place.  Holiday shoppers will find plenty of free parking in Downtown, with two surface lots along Washington, both east and west of Macy's, and the parking structure on Iowa east of Target.

Work will begin immediately after the holiday season on the demolition of the Mall structure between Macy's and Target. Both stores will remain open during demolition and construction. This last phase of demolition should be completed in March and construction of the new open-air Downtown center (with shopping, housing, offices and movie theaters) can begin shortly thereafter.  For more information, visit the Forum Development Group Website at www.sunnyvaletowncenter.com or the City’s Downtown Redevelopment Wesbite at downtown.inSunnyvale.com or hotline at (408) 737-4900.
