I. BELOW MARKET RATE (BMR) HOME OWNERSHIP PROGRAM
Below Market Rate (BMR) Program is for First Time Home Buyers. First Time Home Buyer definition is when the applicant's name has not appeared on a residential title in the counties covered by the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) or Association of Monterey Bay Governments (AMBAG) which are Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Monterey, Napa, San Benito, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano and Sonoma for at least three (3) years prior to application. Exception is made for people who were homeowners prior to a divorce settlement. Properties may be owned in foreign countries as well as elsewhere in California or the United States.

I. HOUSING TRUST FUND - Resumption of the Housing Trust of Santa Clara County’s First-Time Homebuyer Assistance Program – The Housing Trust Fund of Santa Clara County Board of Directors has authorized the release of $780,000 in First-time Homebuyer Assistance funds for the period of January through March 2006, effective Monday, January 9, 2006. This allocation will allow the Housing Trust Fund to assist up to 120 families during the period.
