You are receiving this notice because you are property owner or resident in an Eichler home (see map on reverse). Council has directed staff to develop new design guidelines that specifically address Eichler homes.  These guidelines are intended to provide more direction regarding preservation of the Eichler style and specific guidance to address common home additions and modifications.

We would like input from the residents before we get started.

Topics will include:

·        What guidelines are currently in place?

·        What elements of the existing City-wide Design Guidelines are working well?  What elements are not working?

·        What is the appropriate balance between preservation of existing character and property rights to make changes/additions? 

·        What is the timing of the completion of these guidelines?
