Commercial Linkage Fee

The City has recently completed a study of the “nexus” or connection between new non-residential developments and the need for more local affordable  housing. Non-residential development includes construction of new offices, industrial buildings, hotels, and retail/restaurant space. “Linkage” fees are a tool some cities use to address the increased need for affordable housing created by these developments.
