July is Park and Recreation Month

When our powers combine, we change lives. This July, the Park and Rec Brigade has joined forces with the City of Sunnyvale to help discover all the super powers throughout the community. Working together to further health and wellness, conservation, social responsibility and diversity, Captain Community, the Green Guardian and the Fit Twins will guide Sunnyvale's adventure during Park and Recreation Month.

Celebrate Park and Recreation Month in four ways:

  1. Read the comic book about the adventures of The Park and Rec Brigade.
  2. Attend one or more activity or event on the Park and Recreation Month Calendar.
  3. Participate in the National Recreation and Park Association Photo Contest on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. Every week the selfie that best demonstrates the weekly theme will win a $500 Amazon gift card. Remember to use both #SuperJuly and #SuperParkSelfie in your posts to play.
  4. Take a picture with the Park and Rec Brigade at the Sunnyvale Community Center, 550 E. Remington Drive, and at some of our Park and Recreation Month events to show your super powers.
