About Us

The City of Sunnyvale’s Community Services Division offers classes and programs for families to enjoy, including swimming, dance, health and therapeutic classes, art, youth and adult sports, music and fitness programs. Teen programs include a basketball tournament, teen band nights and a Teen Advisory Council.

Many activities take place at the Sunnyvale Community Center, located at 550 East Remington Drive. The Community Center complex includes the 200-seat Sunnyvale Theatre, Creative Arts Center, Indoor Sports Center, Senior Center and Recreation Building that houses a ballroom, classrooms and meeting rooms.

Our department also maintains a variety outdoor recreation spaces throughout the City, including 21 parks for picnics and play, two golf courses, a tennis center, acres of playing fields, spray pools, a skate park and a community garden.

Don’t have time to sign up for a class? We have a host of drop-in programs to work with busy schedules. Some options include:

• Pottery Studio
• Israeli Folk Dance
• Lap swimming / recreation swim
• Square Dancing

Additionally, billiards, canasta, bridge, dance, tai chi, chess, sudoko and table tennis are available at the Sunnyvale Senior Center to individuals age 50+.
