The City of Sunnyvale is a longtime supporter of Sunnyvale Community Players (SCP), an award-winning non-profit community theater group founded in 1969. SCP currently produces a season of 4 Broadway and off-Broadway musical theater productions, running September through May at Sunnyvale Theatre. Certain productions are designated as Junior Theatre Productions, and are specially selected to give children and teens, ages 8-18, an opportunity to perform onstage in all roles.

As a volunteer-run organization, SCP welcomes Sunnyvale residents and non-residents alike be a part of its shows. It offers many opportunities to perform and participate behind the scenes.

Individual and season tickets to SCP productions are available through the Sunnyvale Theatre Box Office at 408-733-6611 or in person, Monday through Friday, 4:30-6:30 p.m. and two hours prior to performances. Tickets are available online through Sunnyvale Community Players Web site, http://www.sunnyvaleplayers.org/.
