Single Family Garbage Service-ChoiceCollect

ChoiceCollect is the residential garbage and recycling services program for residents living in single-family, duplex, triplex and mobile homes. Customers may choose a garbage cart size that best fits their needs. Cart sizes may be exchanged once per year at no charge. There are options available if residents have extra garbage to dispose.  To start, change or stop your garbage service, or to make an On-Call appointment for extra curbside pick up, call (408) 730-7400.

Residential service options include:

  • Cart Choices and Rates Options - 35, 65, and 95 gallon garbage cart sizes are available.
  • Extra Garbage Tags - for that occasional bag of extra garbage, available for $6 in local markets and two City facilities.
  • On-Call Collection Program - offers convenient extra curbside collection by appointment tailored to residents' schedules. Call Utilities Customer Service to make an appointment, (408) 730-7400.
  • Extra Dumping Weekends at SMaRT - view the Current Recycling Events Calendar to find the dates for dumping extra garbage at the SMaRT Station at no charge.
