Awards and Recognition

California government entities and environmentally focused organizations applaud the waste reduction, recycling, and green business efforts as a way of saying "thank you" to those whose commercial endeavors embrace habits and practices that serve to keep our environment clean, safe and beautiful. Be recognized for your accomplishments!

Business Environmental Awards

The Acterra Business Environmental Awards recognizes outstanding environmental achievements in the Bay Area business community. The program's goals include celebrating the accomplishments of businesses with innovative sustainable programs; recognizing the leaders in the industry; and providing an educational forum that increases awareness and motivates all companies to adopt sustainable business practices.

California Stewardship Arrow Awards

The California Product Stewardship Council recognizes businesses that are based in or operate in California for outstanding leadership, innovation and partnerships in product stewardship and green design. This awards program is different from other business awards because it focuses on actions that directly help integrate producer responsibility into California commerce; whereas other award programs use multiple environmental criteria with only a reference to product stewardship.

Cool California Awards

CoolCalifornia partners with the California Air Resources Board to recognize small businesses (under 100 employees) that have demonstrated exceptional leadership and made notable and voluntary achievements toward reducing their climate impact. The City of Sunnyvale congratulates Savory and Sweet as Sunnyvale's award winner this year!

Governor's Environmental and Economic Leadership Awards

The Governor’s Environmental and Economic Leadership Award Program is California’s highest environmental honor. The program recognizes individuals, organizations, and businesses that have demonstrated exceptional leadership and made notable, voluntary contributions in conserving California’s precious resources, protecting and enhancing our environment, building public-private partnerships and strengthening the State’s economy.

Green Business Program Recognition

The Santa Clara County Green Business Program is a joint venture of environmental government agencies and utilities that assist, promote and recognize businesses who operate using environmentally sound practices. The Sunnyvale City Council recognizes Sunnyvale Certified Green Businesses each Earth Day with a Special Order of the Day.

WRAP Awards

The State of California Waste Reduction Awards Program (WRAP) honors these Sunnyvale businesses for their outstanding waste reduction efforts.
