Extra Dumping Weekends

Twice a year, over two weekends, Sunnyvale residents can dump trash at no charge at the SMaRT Station on Extra Dumping Weekends. The events are held between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at 301 Carl Road, Sunnyvale. Residents must provide proof of residency (a driver's license with a Sunnyvale address, or a license and current utility or service bill bearing a Sunnyvale address is acceptable). Please have proof ready to show attendant to keep lines moving.

PLEASE NOTE:
All loads must be covered or a $15 charge will be assessed (and a tarp will be given for future use).

Extra Dumping Weekends are for Sunnyvale residential customers only. Business/commercial customers may enter the facility, but will be charged for disposing their materials.

Acceptable items for disposal during Extra Dumping Weekends:

  • Garbage
  • Asphalt, concrete, dirt and sod
  • Construction/demolition materials
  • Automotive tires (limit 4)

Vehicles up to and including one-ton load ratings or smaller will be admitted. Vehicles with trailers are admitted provided trailers do not exceed 10 feet by 7 feet. Please drive carefully through the SMaRT Station and follow instructions. Unload safely, but quickly, to allow other residents access to the tipping area. This event is well-attended, we appreciate your patience when experiencing traffic delays.
