Single Family Garbage Service-ChoiceCollect

ChoiceCollect is the residential garbage and recycling services program for residents living in single-family, duplex, triplex and mobile homes. Customers may choose a garbage cart size that best fits their needs. There are options available if residents have extra garbage to dispose.  To start, change or stop your garbage service, or to make an On-Call appointment for extra curbside pick up, call (408) 730-7400.

Residents may request a Solid Waste Service Guide booklet by calling (408) 730-7262. Visit ChoiceCollect FAQ's for more information.

Garbage Cart Care:

  • Place cart curbside by 7 a.m. on regular garbage collection service days,
    stow all carts from public view by 6 a.m. the following day
  • Allow two (2) feet between carts and other objects wherever possible
  • Clean carts to avoid odors
  • Garbage carts cannot be collected if they contain hazardous waste or electronics

Debris box rentals are available to residents for construction or demolition projects. Contact Commercial Customer Service at (408) 730-7681 to order a box. Please note that debris bins will be collected after 30 days. 

Curbside Recycling Services:

As part of your garbage service, the City provides curbside recycling for paper, containers and yard trimmings.
