Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR)

The purpose of the City's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report is to provide relevant financial information to the governing body of the City, citizens of the City of Sunnyvale, City staff, creditors, investors and other concerned readers.

The City’s financial statements are presented in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and audited in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.  The financial statements are reported on a fiscal year basis beginning July 1st and ending June 30th.  The financial statements have been audited by an independent firm of certified public accountants to provide reasonable assurance that the financial statements of the City are free of material misstatements.
