Department of Finance Operating Divisions:

Accounting Division
Provide accounting and financial reporting services to City management and staff, City Council and regulatory agencies to enable them to make informed decisions regarding the financial affairs of the City.

Budget Division
Assist the City Manager in annually developing and submitting a budget to City Council, 35 days prior to the beginning of the fiscal year as prescribed in the City Charter, that meets the current and future service demands of the community in an efficient and cost-effective manner.  The budget division produces documents such as the recommended and adopted budget documents, and City master fee schedule.

Purchasing Division
In accordance with the City Charter and the Sunnyvale Municipal Code, centrally purchase and pay for all goods and services required to support City-wide operations.

Treasury Division
Provide Cash Management, Billing and Treasury Services to ensure prudent management of the public's money.  This page contains the Business License Application and Transient Occupancy Tax Forms.

Utilities Division
Provide utility billing service, customer service, and financial management to enable the provision of high quality water, wastewater, and solid waste services.
