The Sunnyvale Public Library offers the following online databases free to library members. Most are available from home, school or office, as well as on all library computers.

For most databases with remote access, you will be prompted to enter your complete library card number when you link from outside the library.

Database descriptions:

AP Images
 *NEW* AP Images contains over 3.5 million primary source Associated Press news photos from the 1840's through today.  Additionally, users can search through over 100,000 graphics, including maps, timelines, logos and graphs.  All content from AP images may be downloaded and used for educational purposes.

Biography Resource Center
This database combines award-winning biographies from respected Gale Group sources. Biography Resource Center also includes full-text articles from hundreds of periodicals. Search for people based on one or more personal facts such as birth and death year, nationality, ethnicity, occupation or gender, or combine criteria to create a highly-targeted custom search. 

Business and Company Resource Center 
A fully integrated resource bringing together company profiles, brand information, rankings, investment reports, company histories, chronologies and periodicals. Search this database to find detailed company and industry news and information. 

CollegeSource Online
A virtual library representing thousands of college catalogs in complete cover-to-cover, original page format. Also allows you to perform a custom search for institutions meeting your criteria.

Health and Wellness Resource Center

Use this Resource Center to find magazines, journals, newspapers, definitions, directories, and information on: Fitness, Pregnancy, Medicine, Nutrition, Diseases, Public Health, Occupational Health and Safety, Alcohol and Drug abuse, Prescription Drugs, etc. Included are links to diet, cancer, and health assessment sites as well as government databases. The material contained in this Resource Center is intended for informational purposes only. 

HeritageQuest Online
For both professional and amateur genealogists. A unique, growing collection of research materials for tracing family history and American culture. Contains over 25,000 books, the entire U.S. Federal Census, and other expanding collections.
