What is S.O.S?
S.O.S., or Special Outreach Services, is a program designed to provide library material selection and delivery to readers who are homebound.
Every month you can look forward to receiving a selection of books, audiobooks, large print books, picture books, compact discs, or nonfeature videos.
Who is eligible for S.O.S?
Sunnyvale residents who are unable to get to the library because of age or physical disability.
How does S.O.S. work?
Every month on a regularly scheduled day, the S.O.S. messenger delivers a bag of books or other library materials to your door. You return the previous month's selections when the messenger brings your new selections.
How do we know which books to send?
We will telephone you to discuss your reading preferences and other interests. A library staff member or volunteer is assigned to select materials based on your profile, making every effort to choose items that will suit your tastes. Your continuing feedback is valued!
