History
Since its beginning in 1989, the CCAB has focused its work specifically on quality, affordability and availability of child care in Sunnyvale.

Mission
The seven-member CCAB is a volunteer board that advises City Council on child care related issues. The CCAB also provides Council with the technical expertise necessary to address issues regarding the quality and affordability of child care.

Membership
The CCAB is composed of community members in the child care field including Sunnyvale child care providers, representatives from state and local child care related agencies, local businesses and parents.  This combination of perspectives has helped the City form a vision regarding child care, and is the forum for discussing issues and suggesting ways the City may better meet the needs of children and families.  CCAB meetings are open to the public & provides an opportunity for public input.

Child Care Advisory Board Meeting
The CCAB meets the fourth Tuesday of each quarter from 1-3 pm in the West Conference Room of Sunnyvale City Hall, 456 West Olive Avenue (across from the public library).
