About the Wish List
In December 2004, Sunnyvale City Council launched a business/child care partnership program, and approved the creation of an on-line child care provider “wish list”.
The “wish list” includes resources needed by licensed Sunnyvale child care providers to improve the quality of their child care programs (e.g. educational games and toys, children’s equipment such as high chairs and strollers). Businesses and others can review the "wish list", and if they so choose, contribute to the child care provider(s) of their choice.
The purpose of this business/child care partnership program is to:
- Improve the quality of child care in Sunnyvale by linking Sunnyvale child care providers with local businesses to secure much needed resources.
- Give local business a unique opportunity to become more involved with their community.
- Give local businesses the opportunity to contribute to the child care providers utilized by their employees.
The “wish list” is maintained by the Youth, Family & Child Care Resources Office and is currently being updated for September 2007.
How to Contribute to a Child Care Provider
If after reviewing the wish list you would like to contribute to a child care provider, please contact the provider directly. Please arrange for the exchange of resources with the child care provider. Thank you for your contribution!
Please note that most child care facilities in Sunnyvale are for-profit businesses. If you are interested in making a tax-deductible contribution, please confirm the tax status of the child care provider before making your contribution. Thank you.
