City Council approved a Community Event Funding Support program to provide grant funding for Non-profit and Not-for profit organizations holding community events in Sunnyvale. This program offers a total of $25,000 in available grant funds for Fiscal Year 2008-09 (ends June 30, 2009). Organizations who serve the Sunnyvale population with community events (open to the general public) are encouraged to apply. Applications for grant funding will be reviewed by a committee of City staff. Recommendations for funding will be sent to the City Manager and final approval given by City Council.
Important Dates
Grant announcements will be made in December 2008. The timing of this program launch is specific to events scheduled to take place before June 30, 2009. It is expected this program will be available for next fiscal year as well. If you are planning a community event to take place between July 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010, please check back on this page in spring 2009 for next year's application and guidelines.
