RESERVED FACILITY USE

RESERVATION FEES must be paid at the time the reservation is placed. A reservation is confirmed upon receipt of fees.

Minors are not eligible to reserve a facility. Groups composed predominantly of participants under the age of eighteen (18) must be chaperoned at a ratio of one adult to ten (10) minors.

PERMITS. Reserving of picnic or other area is by permit only. There is no overnight park use.

ACTIVITIES. A permit is required for inflatables (Cosmo jumps, bounce houses, etc.), heavy or extra large equipment, amplified sound or music, or other specialty items/activities. Activity fees are charged for groups with these items $25 per Activity. The City reserves the right to change additional fees for "non-standard" items.

AMPLIFIED SOUND. Is allowed only at Meadowlands picnic area (entire area must be reserved) or Grove, between the hours of 10a.m. and 6p.m. User must comply with municipal code limits (see NOISE). A $25 permit fee will be applicable.

CLEAN UP. User is responsible for general setup and cleanup of facilities. Cleanup includes cleaning off tables and grounds and placing all trash in trash containers. Cans & bottles recycling containers are located at all picnic areas.

NO staples, tacks or nails in picnic tables.

GENERAL PARK USE:

  • NO DOGS or other domestic animals are allowed.
  • NO GOLF PLAY OR PRACTICE.
  • NO BALLOONS, including water balloons, are allowed, as pieces can endanger protected wildlife in the nature areas.
  • ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES. Limited to wine and beer, and may be consumed only within picnic areas, as part of a meal.
  • NOISE. Amplified sound maximum allowed is 25 watts. Anyone who exceeds reasonable sound level, that may distract or disturb other park visitors or nearby residents, will be asked to reduce sound level. "Reasonable" sound level is the judgment of the employee on duty, and all instructions of such employee must be complied with immediately.
  • PARKING. NO parking in picnic areas except while loading or unloading. No driving or parking on pathways. No parking in red curb zones, lawn or landscaped areas, or in front of dumpsters.
  • No Model Rockets or Fireworks.
  • PRINTED MATERIAL may not be placed on park property or private vehicles without first obtaining permission from owner/agent.
  • FIRES are prohibited, except in BBQ grills provided at the picnic areas. No portable grills are allowed outside the picnic areas.
  • CARE OF WILDLIFE AND HABITAT. Human visitors share this space with wildlife, which lives in the park. Do not feed or disturb wildlife. No public access is allowed into the wetlands area.
