Recognizing the serious negative effects on crime, public safety and property evaluation, nuisance and abandoned vehicles can cause, the City of Sunnyvale currently has code provisions which regulate the storage of vehicles.  This includes those that are abandoned, wrecked, dismantled, or otherwise inoperable when vehicles are stored on public or private property, including front and side yards.  Nuisance vehicles are one of the first and most obvious signs of a neglected neighborhood and associated government apathy.  These codes are intended to maintain a positive appearance of the City.  The following provide guidance:
