o Address Searches
Address searches are processed for requests specifying a particular address.
o Outstanding Warrant Information
Approximately 3,000 warrants are received and processed yearly by this department. If you believe you have a warrant for your arrest you must respond in person to the department to discuss options. Minimal information will be provided you by telephone.
o Traffic Citation Signoff
If you received a citation that requires an officer signoff indicating proof of correction you may come in to have the citation signed off. There is a fee for the service: Sunnyvale Residents are $12.50 Non-Sunnyvale Residents are $25.00
o Clearance Letter
A Clearance letter will be provided upon presenting proof of Sunnyvale Residency within the last five years and proper identification. The fee is $44.00.
o Fingerprint Services
The department does not provide Fingerprint Services to the public. This service is available from the Santa Clara Sheriffs Office: 408-808-4760

o Parking Citation Information
To obtain information or pay a parking ticket contact: TURBO DATA SYSTEMS, INC, 210 N. Fourth St., Suite 150, San Jose CA 95112 OFFICE OF PARKING VIOLATIONS or 1-800-818-1832, Mon.-Fri., between 9:00a.m. and 4:00p.m.
You may contest the parking violation by requesting an administrative review of the violation within 21 days from issuance.
o Property Release
Requests for return of property held by the department may be made through the Property and Evidence Section. They can be reached at 408-730-7107. Appointments are scheduled Mon-Fri. 7:00a.m.-5:00p.m.
o Offender Registration
If you are a resident of Sunnyvale and have been ordered to register as an Offender under the authority of 290PC – Sexual Offense, 11590 HS – Narcotic Offender, 457.1PC Arson Offender, 186.30PC Gang Member
You must report any time day or night in person to the department to comply with this requirement.
o Taxicab Driver Permits
City of Sunnyvale Taxicab Driver applications are processed Wed-Thurs. 9a.m.-1p.m. by appointment only. Contact the licensing and permit clerk at 408-730-7112 to schedule an appointment
o Taxicab Vehicle Inspections
To schedule an appointment for an inspection contact the Traffic Unit at 408-730-7109.
o Pet Licenses
To obtain a pet license you must contact the Animal Control Office at 408-730-7178. Applications may be obtained Mon-Fri., 8a.m.-5p.m.
