E-Waste Disposal in Sunnyvale and Beyond

Consumer Electronics -As you replace or find new electronic products, you need to know about these important rules for Consumer Electronics - New State laws ban consumer electronics from disposal in trash (2/06).  See what's included in the new law and how to recycle items (including fluorescent bulbs) in Sunnyvale at E-Waste Recycling OptionsPlease note:

A circuit board is not only found in electronic products like PCs, printers, and phones, but in many small appliances too. Small appliances also have circuit boards in order to distribute an electrical current from a central location in the product.

So, virtually anything that can be plugged in or has a battery can be considered e-waste.  And, as the State has announced, if you are unsure about whether it is  hazardous,  then you need to presume that the device needs to recycled or disposed of as a hazardous waste and not disposed in the trash.

For information about recycling or disposal options of E-waste at the SMaRT StationÒ call (408) 752-8530.
