The Environmental Outreach Program at Sunnyvale's Water Pollution Control Plant provides information and education on water pollution prevention and water conservation to the local community, schools and youth, and to local businesses and industry.
Our programs are provided free of charge and cover a wide range of topics including water and wastewater treatment, stormwater management and water pollution prevention. Our classroom programs meet state science standards and are designed to help grade-school students understand why water is such a precious resource. Programs are available to elementary schools teachers at Sunnyvale schools.
We also offer an extensive library of educational materials suitable for all ages. For a listing of book and video materials available for grades K-12, please see the School and Youth Brochure (pdf).
A description of the books and videos in the School and Youth brochure can be obtained by clicking on the summaries link (pdf). An order form is provided on the last page of the summaries.
