To further enhance the students’ experience during the tour and to assist teachers in measuring the retention of information learned on the tour, a study guide is available. It may be used before and/or after the tour. Or, if preferred, students can use it during the tour.
The guide not only asks students to recall facts and figures about the tour, but also asks them to comment on the environmental benefit of the wastewater treatment process.
Much of the information given on the tour is technical and comprehensive but it is presented in an age-appropriate manner for grades 1-12. However, it is recommended that only students in Grades 5 and above use the study guide.
