Construction and Demolition Projects

When stormwater drains off a construction site, it carries sediment and other pollutants that harm our local creeks and San Francisco Bay. Prevent stormdrain pollution during new construction, remodeling or major landscaping projects.

The City of Sunnyvale and the Santa Clara Valley Urban Runoff Pollution Prevention Program developed the following materials to educate local residents and construction-related businesses on preventing stormwater pollution:

General Construction and Site Supervision (pdf)

Home Repair and Remodeling (pdf)

Fresh Concrete and Mortar (pdf)

Earthmoving and Dewatering (pdf)

Landscape Gardening and Maintenance (pdf)

Paint, Solvents and Adhesives (pdf)

Roadwork and Paving (pdf)

Heavy Equipment Operation (pdf)

If you have any questions about these materials, please contact Environmental Outreach at (408) 730-7738.
