The City of Sunnyvale is one of 33 signatories to the Santa Clara Basin Watershed Management Initiative (SCBWMI). The SCBWMI is a collaborative, stakeholder process, bringing together people from a wide variety of interests to discuss watershed issues and work toward developing an implementable watershed management plan. Included are representatives from regional and local public agencies, civic, environmental, resource conservation, and agricultural groups, professional and trade organizations, business and industrial sectors as well as the general public.

The focus of this group is to support efforts to protect and enhance the Santa Clara Basin watershed, thereby creating a sustainable future for the community and the environment.
