Homework Help

After School CenterAnyone in Kindergarten through Grade 7 in need of help with homework can now get it at the Library through the Sunnyvale Study Buddies program! Help is provided by high school students who are City of Sunnyvale volunteers and have successfully completed a rigorous recruitment process. Help is available for reading practice and for all school assignments. Sunnyvale School District textbooks are provided during tutor sessions. Other activities such as board games, drawing sheets, flashcards and school supplies are provided, too.

Assistance is available by application only. Interested students must apply in August and January to be paired up with a teen study buddy for an entire semester. The program benefits both children and teen volunteers as it allows both parties to engage with one another, build a friendship, provide academic support, and utilize library resources.
