Spring Vehicle Tow-Away Program: Sunnyvale residents may have a vehicle disposed at no cost. Between April 1 and April 30, residents may call the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety (DPS) and request a pick-up appointment. You are invited to participate in the seven-week Sunnyvale Neighborhood Actively Prepare (SNAP) Training Program! Each session will be held for seven consecutive Thursday evenings and the final class on a Saturday. The first training, Disaster Preparedness, will be held Thursday, April 17 from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Upon completion of the training, a certificate will be awarded along with the SNAP safety gear. The event will feature a variety of exhibitors showcasing environmentally-friendly ideas, services and products. City staff from transportation, recycling and parks will be on hand to promote Sunnyvale services, and staff from WPCP will demonstrate water pollution and prevention. The event also provides children the opportunity to learn about their environment.
