WITNESSES SOUGHT TO FATAL TRAFFIC ACCIDENT

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – The Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety (DPS) is seeking witnesses to a Tuesday morning accident which resulted in the death of a 54-year old bicyclist.

The accident occurred at 9:01 a.m., Tuesday, July 22, at the southeast corner of Sunnyvale-Saratoga Road and Remington Drive in Sunnyvale. The accident involved a collision between a trash truck and a bicyclist. The male victim was transported to Valley Medical Center where he died in surgery a short time later.

The accident is being investigated by the Sunnyvale DPS Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT). Anyone with information about this accident is asked to contact Traffic Officer Anthony Tani or Lt. Walter Lee at (408) 730-7110.
