SUNNYVALE APPOINTS NEW CITY CLERK
SUNNYVALE, Calif. – The City of Sunnyvale has appointed Susan Ramos to the position of City Clerk. Ms. Ramos comes to Sunnyvale with nearly ten years experience as a city clerk and deputy city clerk. Most recently, she was the Director of Public Affairs/City Clerk for the City of Dana Point, Calif. Prior to that post, Ms. Ramos served as City Clerk for the Cities of Menlo Park and Saratoga, Calif., and as Deputy City Clerk in the Town of Apple Valley, Calif.
Ms. Ramos is the recipient of the 2002 Award of Distinction for Records Management Practices from the California City Clerk's Association. She is certified with the International Institute of Municipal Clerks and is a Notary Public.
Ms. Ramos will begin her tenure with the City on January 5, 2004. She replaces Cathleen McKay, who held the post on an interim basis during the recruitment process.
