SUNNYVALE MAYOR ANNOUNCES NEW COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM
SUNNYVALE, Calif. – Sunnyvale Mayor John Howe is readying the launch of a new community outreach program. The Mayor, accompanied by another Council member and a Planning Commissioner, will meet with neighborhood associations throughout the year. The first meeting will be 7 p.m., January 8, 2004, with the S.N.A.I.L. neighborhood association, and will take place at Columbia Middle School, 739 Morse Road, Sunnyvale.
"My goal is to meet with a different neighborhood association each month," said
Mayor Howe. "We want to hear the interests and concerns shared by our Sunnyvale community and provide residents with direct access to their elected representatives."
Once other meetings have been confirmed, schedules will be posted on the City’s Web site and aired on KSUN-18. Members of neighborhood and other community groups wishing to participate in the program may contact Michelle Taiariol in the Neighborhood and Community Services office at (408) 730-7599, or by e-mail at mtaiariol@ci.sunnyvale.ca.us.
