SUNNYVALE SEEKS APPLICANTS FOR COMMUNITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE
SUNNYVALE, Calif. – The Columbia Neighborhood Center, operated by the City of Sunnyvale in partnership with the Sunnyvale School District, is seeking members to serve on a new community advisory committee. Committee members will help identify community needs, evaluate the Center’s services, assist with community projects and serve as the Center’s ambassadors to the community. The Committee will meet four times a year beginning in February 2004, during weekday afternoons or evenings. The time commitment for a committee member is approximately 12 hours per year.
Openings are available on the committee for youth and adult Sunnyvale residents, members of Sunnyvale organizations and businesses, and staff of Sunnyvale schools in the Columbia Neighborhood Center area, including Bishop, Fairwood, Lakewood and San Miguel Elementary Schools, Columbia Middle School and Fremont High School. The application period for committee membership will close January 23, 2004.
