SUNNYVALE MAYOR CONTINUES NEIGHBORHOOD OUTREACH EFFORT
SUNNYVALE, Calif. – Sunnyvale will hold the third installment of its new neighborhood outreach meetings on Wednesday, February 18. Building on the success of the first two meetings, Sunnyvale Mayor John Howe will meet with the San Miguel Neighbors Association from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Pizza Depot, 919 E. Duane Avenue, Sunnyvale.
Mayor Howe launched this popular program earlier this year as part of an ongoing effort to increase the community’s access to their elected officials. The meetings are designed to give residents the opportunity to discuss their concerns with the Mayor, as well as another Councilmember and a Planning Commissioner. On February 18, Councilmember Ron Swegles and Planning Commissioner Laura Babcock will accompany the Mayor.
As other meetings are set, schedules will be posted on the City’s Web site (www.sunnyvale.ca.us) and aired on KSUN-18. Members of neighborhood associations and other community groups wishing to participate in the program may contact
Michelle Taiariol in Neighborhood and Community Services at (408) 730-7599, TDD (408) 730-7501, or by e-mail at mtaiariol@ci.sunnyvale.ca.us.
