SUNNYVALE OPENS COMMUNITY AWARD NOMINATIONS
SUNNYVALE, Calif. – Each year, the City of Sunnyvale honors exceptional members of the Sunnyvale Community at the Mayor’s State of the City event,. The City is now seeking nominations for this year’s awards, scheduled for Sunday, July 4. This year’s prestigious awards include:
- Distinguished Citizen of the Year
- Outstanding High School Senior of the Year
- Outstanding Community Volunteer
- Outstanding Environmental Achievement
- Outstanding Businessperson of the Year
- Outstanding Contribution to the Arts
Nomination forms are available for download at the City’s Website,www.sunnyvale.ca.gov. Following the nomination period, which closes May 14 at 5 p.m., a committee chosen by Sunnyvale Mayor John Howe will review all nominees and select the award recipients.
"We are honored to be able to pay tribute to these outstanding members of our Sunnyvale community," said Mayor Howe. "They have been instrumental in making Sunnyvale a great place in which to live and work."
The State of the City celebration begins at 11 a.m. at Washington Park,
