SUNNYVALE PRESENTS 19TH ANNUAL HANDS ON THE ARTS FESTIVAL
SUNNYVALE, Calif. – When was the last time your kids practiced Japanese brush painting? Have they ever made a kite from scratch? Do they know how to make cornhusk dolls? Would they like to create a magical dragon for a parade? At the 19th Annual Hands on the Arts festival, they can do all of this and more. The event takes place Saturday, May 15, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., at the Sunnyvale Community Center, 550 E. Remington Drive.
Presented by the City of Sunnyvale Department of Parks and Recreation, Hands on the Arts is a hands-on, multi-cultural arts festival for children ages 3 – 12. Artists have designed crafts for children to complete and take home. The festival will also feature workshops involving music, dance and theatre. More than 30 professional visual and performing artists will provide a full day of creativity, imagination, wonder and awe.
Hands on the Arts is free and open to the public with food booths and stage entertainment for the whole family. Children can participate in workshops all day for only $5.
