SUNNYVALE MOVES FORWARD ON NEW DOWNTOWN

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – The Sunnyvale Planning Commission and City Council have both slated final public hearings on the proposed Town Center Mall redevelopment.

The Planning Commission will meet at 8 p.m., Monday, August 9, in City Council Chambers and will hold a public hearing related to final plan approval for the redevelopment. The Sunnyvale City Council and Redevelopment Agency will then take up the issue in a public hearing on August 17. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. in City Council chambers.

If recommended by the Planning Commission and approved by the City Council and Redevelopment Agency, these meetings would provide the go-ahead for Fourth Quarter Properties XLVIII to begin the Town Center Mall redevelopment. Fourth Quarter is the development entity formed by Forum Development Group and Lehman, ALI.

Information related to the redevelopment has been posted to the Sunnyvale Web site at www.sunnyvale.ca.gov. Materials include the Draft staff report to the Planning Commission on a Special Development Permit for Redevelopment of Town Center Mall (including copy of plans and elevations submitted by the developer); Draft staff report to the Redevelopment Agency on the Disposition and Development and Owner Participation Agreement between the Agency and Fourth Quarter Properties XLVIII; and the Draft Disposition and Development and Owner Participation Agreement.

Copies of these documents are also available at the Community Development Department in City Hall, in the Sunnyvale Library and at the City Clerk's Office.
