SUNNYVALE SCHEDULES OUTREACH MEETINGS
SEEKS COMMENT ON FIVE-YEAR CONSOLIDATED PLAN
SUNNYVALE, Calif. – The City of Sunnyvale is seeking public comment on its proposed five-year federal Consolidated Plan. The Consolidated Plan contains the City’s housing and community development strategy for using federal funds over the next five years, 2005 – 2010. The City receives more than $2 million annually from two federal programs, Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership (HOME).
Programs funded by these federal grants are required to primarily benefit low- and moderate-income persons and persons with special needs through affordable housing, economic development and job creation, public facilities and infrastructure improvements and community and supportive services, among other activities.
