SUNNYVALE SCHEDULES TRAFFIC OUTREACH MEETINGS

WOLFE ROAD BICYCLE ROUTE AND LAKEHAVEN DRIVE TRAFFIC STUDY

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – The City of Sunnyvale is seeking public comment on two issues; the Wolfe Road Bicycle Route Project and the Lakehaven Drive Traffic Study.

Community input is being sought on a proposed project to construct a bike route on Wolfe Road from Homestead Avenue to El Camino Real. The type of project has not yet been identified, but it could consist of bike lanes, shared lane pavement markings or bike route signs.

The public outreach meeting on this proposed project will be:

Monday, November 15

7 p.m.

Raynor Park Building

1565 Quail Ave., Sunnyvale

The second public meeting will discuss the recently-completed Lakehaven Drive traffic study. At the request of the neighborhood, City staff analyzed speeding, traffic volume, sight distances, roadway geometry and accident statistics for Lakehaven Drive.

The purpose of this public meeting will be to present the study findings, propose possible measures to improve street traffic characteristics and to seek community input regarding the data collection and possible improvements. This meeting will be:

Wednesday, November 17

7 p.m.

Lakewood Park Building

834 Lakechime Drive, Sunnyvale

For more information about either meeting, please contact Dieckmann Cogill, Transportation Planner, at (408) 730-2713, TDD (408) 730-7501, or by e-mail at dcogill@ci.sunnyvale.ca.us.
