TREE RECYCLING IN SUNNYVALE
SUNNYVALE, Calif. – Residents of the City of Sunnyvale may recycle their holiday trees as part of the City’s normal recycling collection process. Residents with curbside service may either put their tree in their yard trimmings cart – making sure the cart’s lid can still close – or place it at the curbside on their regular service collection day. Both flocked and unflocked trees may be recycled.
To prepare trees for recycling, tree stands and all decorations must be removed. Trees must also be cut into four-foot lengths to fit in the collection truck.
Trees may also be taken to the SMaRT Station, 301 Carl Rd., Sunnyvale, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day except December 25 and January 1. Normal fees for yard materials will be charged.
Residents of apartments should contact their property manager for details about tree recycling and collection where they live.
For additional information about tree recycling contact the City of Sunnyvale Recycling Program at (408) 730-7262, TDD (408) 730-7501.
