SUNNYVALE SHOOTING LEAVES ONE DEAD

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – Sunnyvale public safety officers responded to a report of shots heard in the area of Sunnyvale-Saratoga Road and Alberta Avenue at 4:03 a.m. this (Tuesday, July 12) morning. On arrival, they found a vehicle and a 19-year-old male who had been shot. Sunnyvale officers were then notified of a second male victim a short distance away who had also been shot. Both victims were transported to local hospitals.

The 19-year-old Sunnyvale resident was declared dead at the hospital. The 21-year-old East Palo Alto resident is in intensive care at a local hospital. Investigators are interviewing witnesses and the victim. The case is under investigation and there are no suspect descriptions at this time.
