SUNNYVALE MAKES ADDITIONAL ARRESTS IN MURDER CASE

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – Sunnyvale Public Safety officers, with assistance from Fresno Police, have arrested Bryson Cole in the July 12 shooting death of 18-year old Sunnyvale resident Cephus Brown and the critical wounding of a second victim. Cole had fled to Fresno in an attempt to avoid apprehension. He was arrested Wednesday, July 27, without incident and was booked into Santa Clara County jail for homicide, attempted homicide and conspiracy to commit homicide.

On Monday, July 25, Sunnyvale detectives arrested Devin Furlanicbabic in San Jose for his involvement in the homicide. He was taken into custody without incident and booked for homicide, attempted homicide and conspiracy to commit homicide.

The shooting, which took place around 4 a.m. at Sunnyvale-Saratoga Road and Harwick Way, was Sunnyvale’s second murder of 2005. The investigation into this crime is continuing.
