JOIN OTHERS, MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN SUNNYVALE

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – Last October, more than three million people spent a single day volunteering in their communities. Make a Difference Day is the world’s largest volunteer day of service. To get involved this year, put Saturday, October 22, on your calendar and contact Sunnyvale’s Volunteer office for details.

You can participate with your family, your friends, your service group or as an individual. The City of Sunnyvale will be hosting several environmental projects at Baylands Park, including removing an obsolete above-ground irrigation system from the wetlands, clearing brush from the burrowing owl mounds and maintaining trails. Spend a morning outside in the fresh air, connect with other volunteers and make a contribution to your community and the environment. Call Jennifer Rettick in Sunnyvale’s Volunteer Office at (408) 730-7533, TDD (408) 730-7501, to sign up.
