SUNNYVALE DPS SEEKS HIT AND RUN DRIVER

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety (DPS) investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the driver of a car involved in an early-morning hit and run accident.

A few minutes before 7 a.m. today (Tuesday, October 11), DPS received a report of a bicyclist struck by a car on Mary Avenue at Central Expressway. The car fled the accident scene and was last seen traveling eastbound on Central Expressway from Mary Avenue.

The car is described as a light-colored 2004 or 2005 Toyota sedan. The car has moderate front-end damage and was being driven by an Asian female with dark, shoulder-length hair and possibly wearing glasses.

The bicyclist sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital.
