SUNNYVALE SENIORS CREATE AND SELL UNIQUE HANDMADE GIFTS FOR HOLIDAYS

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – For 25 years, some of Sunnyvale’s most artistic seniors have been creating hand-crafted gifts to sell at The Unique Boutique. The boutique, located at the Sunnyvale Senior Center, provides an outlet for seniors to showcase their crafts, and gives the public a place to shop for a wide array of gifts, from homemade baby blankets, sweaters and hats to seasonal decorations, gift cards and jewelry, all at great prices.

The boutique was born in 1980 as It’s Us. Several years later, the shop moved to the Sunnyvale Senior Center and changed its name to The Unique Boutique. When the Senior Center moved to a new spacious, modern facility in 2003, the boutique moved with it, and can now be found next to the Center’s lobby.

All of the artists featured at The Unique Boutique are members of the Sunnyvale Senior Center, and proceeds from the shop support the individual artists and the Sunnyvale Senior Center. The Unique Boutique is open Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Sunnyvale Senior Center is located at 550 E.
