SUNNYVALE DPS SEEKS SEXUAL ASSAULT SUSPECT

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety (DPS) investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a sexual assault suspect.

On November 7, 2005, shortly before 4 p.m., a 14-year-old girl was walking on the sidewalk near Bernardo and Knickerbocker, when a subject inappropriately touched her as he walked by. It was later determined that the same subject did the same thing to another girl a year ago, although that incident was not reported.

The suspect is described as an Asian male, 20 – 35 years old, 5’ 0’’ to 5’7” tall, weighing between 120 and 130 pounds. The suspect was wearing a light blue baseball cap, light blue T-shirt, khaki pants and white athletic shoes, possibly New Balance shoes. The suspect walks with a wide gait, with his feet pointed inward and his hands up by his sides.
