REHABILITATION WORK MAY SLOW TRAFFIC

The following closures will be in effect as indicated, weather and conditions permitting.

ARQUES AVENUE REHABILITATION PROJECT
LOCATION	Arques Avenue immediately west of Lawrence Expressway, and Arques Avenue between San Anselmo Way and Roosevelt Avenue
what	Preventative rehabilitation of 20 manholes on Arques Avenue and rehabilitation of the Arques Pump Station, an underground sanitary pump station
When	Weekdays: daytime closures 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.; nighttime closures 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. One through lane will be maintained in each direction at all times; The majority of work is expected to take place during overnight hours.
Date	August 14 – December 2006, weekdays only, weather permitting
activity	This is part of a $380,000 project that will also rehabilitate interior surfaces of an additional 53 manholes on Lawrence Expressway. The project is being funded by the City of Sunnyvale.

For the safety of the public and workers, traffic control measures will be used when needed. Informational and warning signs will be posted as necessary to ensure everyone’s safety. Crews will make every effort to maintain access and minimize inconvenience to motorists.
